Gino comes from the Italian province of Mantua but it was only after 32 years of doing many things that did not include making ads that his career in advertising began at Y&R Peru, which he cheerfully joined in 2010 as an Intern Copywriter.
It doesn't sound crazy. It is.
Fortunately, Gino proved himself to be a fast learner and after only two years spent doing work for Toyota, Colgate and the Peruvian retail chain Oechsle -blessed with some awards and several campaigns featured in Archive magazine- he was appointed Head of Group of the LAN Airlines account (team of 8 people).
In 2014, Gino moved to Fahrenheit DDB, where he worked as Senior Copywriter for brands such as Movistar (Spanish multinational telco), American Colors (wall paint), BBVA Continental (Spanish multinational bank) and the Peruvian Cancer Foundation.
From the beginning of 2018 to the end of 2019 he’s been working as integrated CD at TBWA Peru, in charge of the Nissan account.
Since 2020 he’s been working for independent Peruvian agency Copiloto as CD, leading the creative team in charge of the Toulouse Lautrec (school of creativity), Universidad Continental, Deli Kranch (cereal) and Unacem (biggest Peruvian cement corporation) accounts.
Gino is the person portrayed in the black and white picture. Even in his brightest days, that's as smiley as he gets. If you get him to show his teeth, you’re his dentist. Or an awfully talented comedian.
